81 West Cordova Street

Here is another comparison that makes me believe that things were really better in the past. The original photograph shows the building at 81 West Cordova Street. The signs on the building, the cars on the street, the color and tone of the photograph are all blending in, creating a seductive image inviting us to jump back into 1973.

The building is still there today, although only its front is visible. The second photograph which was taken in January 2025 contains a certain amount of sadness in my opinion, especially when compared to the original image above.
